Terms of use

Last updated: August 2026

The agreement between you and Queer Common. Plain language, no traps.

Who can join

You must be 18 or older. This is an adult community that discusses adult subjects, and we are not equipped to safeguard minors.

One account per person. Accounts operated by the Queer Common team are listed in a pinned post in the Lounge.

Your content stays yours

You keep ownership of everything you post. By posting you give us permission to display it on the platform to the people it is meant for, and nothing more. We do not license your work to anyone else or use it in advertising.

You are responsible for what you post, including that you have the right to share it.

Following the guidelines

Using the platform means agreeing to the Community guidelines. Breaking them can get your posts removed or your account suspended or deleted, as described there.

Funding, stated clearly

Queer Common lists causes and receives grant applications. Money is not moved through this website. We do not take payments, hold funds, or disburse them here.

Applying is not an offer, a promise, or a contract. Applications are reviewed by our admin team and most will not be funded. Any funding that does happen is arranged separately, in writing, outside the platform.

What we do not promise

The platform is provided as it is. We run it on free-tier infrastructure and cannot guarantee it stays available, fast, or free of bugs. Keep your own copy of anything you would be upset to lose.

We are not liable for what other members say or do. We moderate in good faith, but we cannot read everything.

Ending things

You can stop using the platform whenever you like and ask for your account to be deleted. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks the guidelines, or close the platform entirely, giving as much notice as we reasonably can.

This is a draft

These terms describe how the platform actually works, but they have not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have one check them before you take grant applications at scale.
